Topic: Activating Healing and Health by Covenant

Texts: Zachariah 9:11,12, Luke 5:12-15

Beloved, in 3 John 2, we must understand that when it comes to healing and health, it is a covenant.

Sickness and disease afflict us all, but our outcomes differ. If you place your faith in what the covenant offers, your healing is assured. No sickness bears a name that can withstand the name of Jesus.

Numbers 27:1-9
Here, we see covenant children perishing due to murmuring. However, after Moses prayed, God instructed him to make a brazen serpent. Anyone who looked upon it found deliverance.

What are your eyes upon?

God has made a way for your escape from sickness.

As God’s child, your healing and health constitute a total package. The same faith that led you to Jesus is sufficient to free you from illness.

Ephesians 2:11,12,13 We were once without hope, deliverance, or a way out. Yet, in Christ Jesus, we who were distant have drawn near through His blood. Just as the brazen serpent had its impact in the old covenant, how much more in the new covenant when we fix our eyes on Jesus.

Job 18:13 There is a place for those who do not know God, the wicked.

Death’s firstborn is sickness and disease. Jesus did not just destroy the devil’s work but also his firstborn, sickness and disease.

We release the blood of the covenant upon devil’s first born (disease and sickness).

1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5
In our covenant, healing isn’t a future event. Your faith is limited when you postpone your healing. Your healing and health manifest only if you accept that you were healed on the cross.

Faith is not futuristic, it is now.

Hebrews 8:5-6,10
God has brought us to a place where we bear fruits if we appropriate His words into our lives.

Hebrews 8:12-13 Sin is the reason sickness came in the first place. It is the reason sickness stays. God is merciful.

The new has come and the old is vanished.

Proverbs 4:20-22
Keep your eyes on Jesus.

We often stick too much to bodily infirmities when it comes to sickness and disease. If you can keep your spirit man strong, no sickness can come near you.
Proverbs 15:13

Proverbs 15:13
Affliction serves to break you for sickness to enter. Unforgiveness and bitterness grant access to affliction, allowing sickness to grip you.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like medicine.

Sometimes you spend money on medicine but a merry heart will do you good like medicine. If you can forgive, you’ve pushed cancer far from your home.

Life is not that serious. Stop frowning, take your medicine. You can take your smile to check sickness far from you.

When others despair and cry in the face of adversity, you, as a child of God, will laugh.

Proverbs 18:4
A strong spirit sustains a man during adversity.

God wants to keep you healthy. The devil may propagate lies that it is God’s will for you to be sick or that miracles are things of the past, but we understand that healing is a covenant matter.

Exodus 11:26
God remains unchanging. If you believe, you will witness it in your life.

Exodus 11:26
God has not changed and will not change because of you. If you believe it, you will see it in your life.
God wants you to live long, not just for yourself but for service. He wants you to know that through service you can activate your healing and health.

Exodus 23:25 You can activate long life through service.

If you can connect yourself to service you will be relevant for God to keep here on earth. As you anchor your faith in the word of God, whatever the enemy has sent your way will not have power over you.

Keep your eyes on the Word and on Jesus, sent by God to heal us from all diseases and afflictions.
Like the Israelites kept their eyes on the brazen serpent, keep your eyes on Jesus.

You have to believe that you are not about to be healed but that you are healed.

Prayer:

– Lord, strengthen my brothers and sisters. Strengthen their spirit.

– Job 5:26
Father, may my brothers and sisters come to the grave in old age. No sickness, disease or accident will take them out. None shall die before their time.

– Psalm 118:17
I shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living.
